If you wanted to see stars back in the day Steel Pier in Atlantic City presented a galaxy every summer! The top singers, bands, comics, you name it and all the big names were there. Plus, you got an entire day's worth of movies, attractions, the famous water circus and diving horse, dancing and so much more. But nothing was bigger than in the early 40s when the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra came to town with the skinny boy singer Frank Sinatra. There were lines of bobbysoxers up and down the boardwalk waiting to get inside for a chance to swoon over Frankie!
